I’ve recently been trying to re-focus my blog to a more personal direction, writing creative non-fiction and tales from my childhood. Yet, the other “segments” I’ve created for my blog, such as Top Ten – still call to me. I feel like it’s time to do another. As I was wondering what subject I should write about for this installment of Top Ten, the idea hit me like a massive Hadouken. I should totally do a Top Ten based around my love for fighting games. My Top Ten Favorite Comedy Movies

Well, we’re right in the middle of summer and at the theaters right now, people are lining up to see their favorite summer blockbuster action films. I love action films – and you can see my Top Ten Favorite Action Films right HERE – but I think one of my favorite genres is Comedy. Whenever my wife and I sit down to watch a movie during dinner, or whenever I want to wind down for the night if I’m by myself, I pop in one of my favorite comedy films.   I remember riding in the car with my grandmother. She worked at Saint Joseph’s College of Maine, where I attended my undergrad studies. I lived with her at the time (she adopted me from the foster home I was in, which is another story) in Casco. It was a Saturday or a Sunday, and we were on our usual weekend ritual of going to the grocery store in nearby downtown Windham, here in Maine.
